Perhaps one of the best cream puffs in Taipei comes from this small unassuming stand at the basement level of the city branch of the Shin Kong Mitsukoshi department store. Having sampled the delights of Beard Papa's and Laetitia this little chunky gem is the perfect blend of double pastry and a LOT of cream. Only 2 flavours are available, vanilla and chocolate. Puff purists may debate the merits of custard vs cream (other flavours naturally are never in the running) but this to me is Japan you can hold in one hand.
