Another of Taiwan's local favourite foods is called o-a mee sua (a Fujian dish translated as oyster wheat vermicelli). Ay Chung is arguably the best known vendor of this popular light meal, located in the Ximen district, although they don't serve it up with oysters. There are plenty of places in Taipei which do a mean o-a mee sua, and we had our fix at a small place in the Tienmu district.![](https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgiYRKHiwRJd2oekPNa-wBdy70sppDXX1OpCSIsPR2q0C9ZeTROgiXEOlG0Oq9a1PGu4rSo9woCPMsZXAbKsQ6DtU8uBXmxX5ufSF4D9w-kN7gVHxqZEMzQgS-UpzXrrq23NPtNl1BshFx9/s327/2011%25252011%25253A27%252520PM.jpg)
Mee sua, savoury steamed glutinous rice, and and a sweet iced bean and dou fa (soybean pudding) dessert. Mmmmmmmmmm.
