Every weekend, flower, craft and jade lovers descend on Jianguo Road (on the corner of RenAi Road) to browse and shop for all manner of goodies. The markets are located under the Jianguo Road overpass section, making use of all of the otherwise unused space there. We visited the flower market, and that took up a couple of hours. 
Among the flower, gardening and craft vendors were a group of people operating a dog rescue operation with stray dogs being given for free (well for whatever you felt like giving). It was a good thing we don't live in Taipei, as they were CUTE!
